Recommendation on language policy in higher education (02/14/2017)

The Vlor discussed the balance between Dutch as the primary language of instruction and the other language offer in higher education. The Vlor does not want to touch at the status of Dutch as a primary education language, but states that, at the same time, it is essential that students in Flemish higher education are well prepared for a role in the international knowledge society. Both good Dutch language proficiency and knowledge and use of foreign languages, especially English, are important here.
