Recommendation on the recognition of foreign qualifications in Flemish Higher Education (10/13/2009)

A number of reforms are proposed in the spirit of the Lisbon Recognition Convention.

In order to asses foreign qualifications in Higher Education, it is necessary to examine whether there are substantial differences, which means that the final decision on recognition allows for consideration, deliberation and compensation. The recommendation contains proposals on the concrete implementation of the recognition procedure. It formulates four possible recognition decisions.
